Explore all the city has to offer. And do it in style. The CB500F mixes naked-bike agility with a streetfighter attitude. New Showa Separate Function Fork-Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD front suspension and dual front discs take handling and braking to the next level, while the A2-compatible twin-cylinder engine provides performance that new and experienced riders can enjoy. Sharp new graphics are the perfect finishing touch to the CB500F.
A motorcycle is more than just transport. It sets you apart. Marks out individuality. And opens up the city. Buses, trains and traffic jams? Forget them. Enjoy the fast, nimble steering that a lightweight chassis gives. Revel in the thrill of the engine’s crisp response. Explore every corner of your world, then go beyond. The CB500F will take you wherever you want to go.
Your Stylish Companion
This naked form – with sharp new graphics – exudes aggression with a low-set stance ready to take on city streets. The side shrouds interlock with the fuel tank and fully emphasize the engine design; tapered handlebars offer intuitive feel and leverage. The riding position places you naturally upright, and in charge. Seat height is low at 785mm and new, aluminium footpegs are both lightweight and sporty.
In an urban environment, your bike needs to react quickly to every input you make. So, we’ve given the chassis a more forward-set weight bias, for improved grip and feel. New, Showa 41mm SFF-BP USD forks give superb response, especially under braking. New lightweight wheels and swingarm add even more agility. And, for powerful braking, new, dual 296mm discs are gripped by four-piston radial-mount calipers.
Yes, it’s A2 compatible. But this 35kW twin-cylinder engine has performance to spare – it’s also perfect for new riders and entertaining for those with much more experience. 43Nm of torque in the mid-range ensures instant acceleration and, if you’re in the mood for fun the exhaust howls pleasingly as rpm rises. For extra control an Assist/Slipper clutch eases upshifts through the six-speed gearbox and manages rear wheel lock-up under hard down changes.
A High Quality Ride
We’ve given the CB500F premium equipment. All lighting is LED and the headlight now has extra-powerful LEDs, so you see more at night. There are also high-visibility front indicator position lights, improving visibility. The negative LCD instruments feature a speedo, bar graph rev-counter, dual trip meters, fuel level/consumption gauge as well as Gear Position and Shift Up indicators.
